Who the heck am I?

I’m a literary manager, an educator, a dramaturg, a director, a craft beer fanatic, a recovering academic, and a raving comic book nerd.

I’m the product of New Orleans, Minneapolis, San Diego, and D.C., of a black mother and a Persian immigrant father, of major regional theaters, academic theater programs, and small storefront theaters.

I’m a champion of new plays and a Shakespearean scholar, an expert in traditional Western storytelling and a dedicated defender of “non-traditional” (aka traditional but non-European) as well as actual non-traditional models.

In other words, whoever you are and whatever your project is, I’m exactly who you want to be working with.

During the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, we’ve all had to figure out new ways to live, new ways to work, and new ways to create. As a father of two small children, married to a full-time professor and lighting designer, I’m right there with you.

I’m flexible and understanding of whatever your situation is and however you need to work.

What is the story you’re trying to tell?

Why is this the story that needs to be told?

What do you need to make your story the best possible version of itself?

I’d love to learn more about your project.
